Engagement Photo Sessions

It really depends on the vibe you're going for. Here are some local places I like.

Willow Springs in Johnson City is hands down my favorite park for photo sessions, especially engagement shoots. It has all the natural scenery one would expect in East TN without being over-bearing. I like the background to be prety, but it is the background afterall, not the focus of the image. Sometimes  elaborate is just too much. This park is located at  1201 Huffine Rd, Johnson City, TN 37604 .

If you're into history and old timey type things, you're in luck. We have tons of historic spots around the Tri-cities. I like downtown Jonesborough for these sessions. From the barber shop to the candy store, there's just so many cool options..

Okay, so we're not living in a metropolitan area with tons of high-end museums, but we do have a few noteworthy places to visit if you want to add an artsy edge to your photos. The  Reece  museum is the best option here. Their exhibits change, so it's difficult to know what you'll find there at any given time. It's free, so I recommend taking a peek at what is currently on display  before scheduling your photo shoot there.

• Johnson City Brewing Company at 257 E Main St.
• Yee-Haw Brewing Company at 126 Buffalo St.
• Great Oak Brewing at 601 Spring St #101g.
• Little Animals Brewery at 324 E Main St.

• Gourmet and Company: Seasonal American fare with a late-night bar menu, plus an on-site shop, in a romantic setting. 
• Cafe Lola Bistro: Cozy spot for internationally inspired eats, wine & martinis amid pink lighting & chic surrounds. 
• Wellington's Restaurant: Stately eatery in the Carnegie Hotel, with farm-to-table Southern meals and a lengthy whiskey list. 
• Label Restaurant: This eatery with an eclectic, international menu is set in airy, industrial-chic surroundings.
